Here are 7 real Korean expressions from the movie you can actually learn!

If you’re learning Korean, you might’ve noticed how stylish and immersive this K-POP-themed animation is.As a Korean, I felt proud seeing K-POP being portrayed in such a global way — especially in a movie format!

Then I thought:“Wouldn’t it be amazing if international fans could learn the Korean expressions used in the movie too?”

So today, I’m sharing some slang, emotional phrases, and natural sentence endings you can learn directly from the characters in Demon Huntrix — plus a bonus tip at the end on how to practice them yourself!


✏️ 7 Korean Phrases from Demon Huntrix


1. “제 최애는 미라예요”

최애 (choe-ae) = “ultimate favorite” (a K-pop fan slang)예요 / 이에요 = polite sentence ending like “is/are”

✅ Example sentences:

  • 제 최애는 제니예요. (My favorite is Jennie.)

  • 제 최애는 RM이에요. (My favorite is RM.)


2. “춤선이 아주 끝내주죠”

춤선 (chum-seon) = body line in dance끝내주다 (kkeut-nae-ju-da) = “awesome” or “killer” (slang)

✅ Example:

  • That choreography? 끝내줘요! (It’s killer!)

  • The outfit is just… 끝내줘요!


3. “그냥 뭐 간지 좔좔이죠”

간지 (gan-ji) = cool, stylish vibe좔좔 (jwal-jwal) = dripping/pouring, overflowing feel

✅ Example:

  • 간지가 철철 넘쳐요. (So stylish it overflows.)

  • 스타일이 좔좔 흘러요. (Dripping with fashion.)


4. “완전 귀요미 막내”

귀요미 (gwi-yo-mi) = cutie막내 (mak-nae) = the youngest member in a group

✅ Examples:

  • 완전 귀요미예요! (She’s such a cutie!)

  • 우리 반 막내는 진짜 귀엽죠. (The youngest in our class is adorable.)


5. “카리스마가 쩔어요”

카리스마 (charisma) = charisma (same word!)쩔다 (jjeol-da) = “to slay” / “to be epic” (slang)

✅ Examples:

  • 무대에서 카리스마 쩔어요. (Total stage charisma.)

  • 눈빛이 쩌네요! (That gaze slays.)


6. “너무 쩔어서 바지에 지릴 정도”

지리다 (ji-ri-da) = slang for being so amazed you might pee yourself 😅~정도 (~jeong-do) = “to the extent of”

✅ Examples:

  • 너무 웃겨서 숨이 안 쉬어졌어요. (So funny I couldn’t breathe.)

  • 너무 멋져서 기절할 뻔했어요. (So cool I almost fainted.)


7. “탯줄부터 연예인이죠”

A humorous exaggeration:“They were born to be a celebrity.”

✅ Examples:

  • DNA가 연예인이에요. (It’s in their DNA.)

  • 태어나자마자 무대 체질! (They’re made for the stage.)
